Beach Bum, The dirtiest city air-wise in the US is still Los Angeles and total air pollution in California still dwarfs any other state. We just studied those statistics at a seminar Thursday in Houston as provided by a Region VI EPA Representative from Dallas.... Don't believe any propaganda from Tiberius "you-know-who"....Always check his sources whether he is talking about air pollution , the cost of his dog's supply of Loprin, or how he did not know that the event at the Buddhist Temple in Socal was a "fundraiser", heh-heh... Economic growth is good- It is the basis of a strong environmental policy. No economy, no money- No money , no ability to enforce environmental restrictions...And the more advanced and energy intensive a society, then the less per capita pollution output, strangley enough.... but economic growth is good. The mistake was to lose 100,000 trained oilfield workers in 1998-1999 and do nothing about that....
