<<1. RDRAM is a bust, Intel and Rambus tried to force an expensive memory technology on the boxmakers that the DRAM manufactures did not want to produce. Not only is it expensive but the only performance gain is when using graphic intensive benchmarks, PC133 SDRAM is faster in all other benchmarks

2. The patent disputes between Rambus and Micron/Hyundai and Infineon are just beginning, friends that I have at Micron that have examined the patents in question are very confident that the patents will be thrown out. Micron's legal department is one of the most aggressive in the industry and would not have filed if they were not very confident of winning.

Now we are getting somewhere - an intelligent discussion above and beyond the comprehension of IceShark

1) RMBS is not a bust - People can not look ahead beyond what is in front of their nozes. Playstation HDTV steaming dat applications - the need is there. You just do not see it. DDR does not scale. Hell I have not even seen a DDR production mobo yet.
Have you read the Gorilla Game by Moore? I doubt it. RMBS is a disruptive technology JUST LIKE CDMA! The FUD put out by Erickson last year was just as bad if not worse than that put out by industry shills like Shery Garber at Semco.
FUD FUD FUD. Hell there is no standard DDR. MU itself is backing away from a DDR chipset - YET IS TRYING TO SUE RMBS FOR DDR DEVELOPMENT COSTS. Give me a break. This is silly and the market seems to agree.

Yes RMBS is well off its highs. I sold at 117 and 108. I posted my actions. I bought btw 70 and 90. Sold my common at 90 and went into options btw 80 and 90. This is all posted.

Look at RMBS and MU since MU's lawsuit. MU down (I am guessing 20% while RMBS is up slightly and INTC and AMD are both down 20% as well!! This really does not jive from a TA standpoint. Sorry if you can not see it.

2) Your friends at MU are obviously biased. How can the not be. Independent sources and I will not post the links for you BUT THEY ARE THERE on the RMBS board - I do not have time to research for you, confirm that the case against MU is compelling. Certainly that is how the market is reacting.

In Germany it is the FIRST TO PATENT that matters. All this BS about prior art (which does not exit anyway or it would have come up already) is Irrelevant in Germany. RMBS legal team like it or not does know what they are doing. Check it out. Look at the "admittedly biased" www.dramreview.com for more patent info. Also an independent patent attorney was hired by one of the SI RMBS board to review the case. He HATES RMBS technology and admitted it BUT said that RMBS patents were very strong, especially in Euorope. This is quite a commentary from someone who hates the BU$$.

I believe you MU sources can not see what is in front of their noses either.

Finally - MU stole LU technology and settled out of court. We do not know the full disclosure on this but MU's legal team could not wriggle out of it. MU will not have the luxury of tying this up in the courts for years.

The case will be tried in Germany - UNDER VERY VERY different disclosure proceedings. NO JURY TO BS - A judge will decide the case. MU WILL NOT HAVE THE BALLS TO SEEE THIS THROUGH. BUT IF THEY DO - THEY WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO MAKE DDR RDR AND SDRAM. MU backed RMBS into a corner by stealing their technology for a lousy 2% royalty fee WHEN QCOM CHARGES 5%.

JUST ANOTHER STUPID DECISION BY MU MANAGEMENT. How much in markey cap has this cost them> 20 BILLION or so - LOL
All for a lousy 2% that if everyone paid would nit cost a dime to anyone but the consumer who would not notice a 2% increasine in a $10 part on a $2000 machine. GIVE ME A BREAK.

MU has fucked this thing up from day one all because of a silly fight between Appleton and the CFO of RMBS at a party. Talk about STUPIDITY! MU will settle - and settle last at the worts possible rate because of the ineptitude of their management. I WILL BET YOU A CASE OF BEER ON THIS.
Please only one taker. I can only drink so much. LOL
