AL...RE..<<<Ted, I think you are right. The central banks will not be able to prop up the Euro for very long and the fed oil reserves will have to be replenished. Long term, little has changed. <<<<

AL, except now we know that when Gore is talking environmentalism, he is just blowing hot air, because given a choice between an environmental stand and a politically expedient stand, the environment loses. Worse, this incident once again shows how perverse this administration is using U.S. property to further their careers. They have already turned the White house into a motel six. Now Hillery is using Camp David to reward donors,(I guess the White House doesn't have enough rooms), Bill let Hughes sell classified information to the Chinese in exchange for campaign contributions, and now when Gore asked Bill to help out his campaign by releasing oil from the reserve, he does it. A guy who really cares about the environment would have used the high oil prices to push environmental programs featuring conservatism and alternate fuels. A real leader would have used the oil crisis to highlight a bold plan to get the U.S. off of cheap oil. Spineless cowards always go with the crowd, its safer.
