have no fear, no way will I take over the bookeeping from Dan
the way he presents the data is super, I would have no clue how to do the Excel macros to get what he does

may be bagging the tuna hunt planned for the next few days
we were thinking about making the "100 mile" run to where the fish are but with a Nor'Easter forecast (read: mini perfect storm)there is no way my old bones can deal with that

>>>If one/trader cannot overcome holding losers too long, one cannot survive at trading.
It is as simple as that

if there is one thing we have learned in our four years here on SI it is that
I've done that three times over the years
once about 5 or 6 years ago that took me almost a year to recover from then two other lesser hits
like I have said a hundred times, it's real easy to make money trading; keeping it is the real challenge

unless the financial world comes to an end I will never (I hope) take a big hit again
I just do not take such huge bets that that will happen

of course I will not make any monster gains either
but if I have learned a single thing since my first trade in 1969 it is that consistent small profits add up

PS (edit)
it just hit me that my 1969 trade was to buy some MCD and I just bought some pre market on Friday at 27
the oldest quote I can get is the 7/31/75 low of 50 cents
might have been a decent hold
interesting to contemplate that
