RDRAM prices continue lower.

Take a look especially at the RDRAM & SDRAM price charts below. RDRAM price has been on a continuous down trend (no bottom in sight yet) unlike the ups and downs of SDRAM. We could see sub $2/MB prices very soon. In fact, I just drew some trend lines on the RDRAM chart that intersect and keep all the high points below the trend line, and if we continue on that same down slope we should have the following by end of November (11/30/2000):

PC800= $1.97/Mb
PC700= $1.63/Mb
PC600= $1.34/Mb

Of course demand and supply and the launch of Pentium 4 will play a role in this, but I think if we could very well see PC800 prices at near $2/MB and PC600 at near $1.60-1.70/Mb on the smsperling chart by end of November (about 2 months time). Based on the average of the first 24 reseller pricewatch prices vs. the smsperling chart (which is an average of all the prices), that would mean that we should have PC800 RIMMs at about $195 and PC600 at $160. We'll see how good I was in my price prediction at the end of November.

Pricewatch also shows much lower reseller prices this week.
