i never hesitate to order from amazon. they are my favorite e-tailer for books and cd's. their site is easy to use, they notify me when the order ships, it's a snap to track the order, they have good prices, they offer incentives like money off coupons, they have as good a selection of merchandise as anyone. i personally fail to see the big deal about price differences here or there, now and then. prices change all of the time. some people get better prices than others. i doubt that there is some clandestine movement underfoot, or special status granted to certain customers. and even if there was, that in itself is fairly commonplace also, is it not? i like amazon.com :) mark
