Basically it's just Gore/Clinton hardball tactic to scare and intimidate more oil out of OPEC to lower the price further. My bet is the US probably threatening to reduce or pull out forces in SA. And what better time to do it than right now with Sadam getting more aggressive.

Besides you best believe Gore/Clinton are playing EVERY card they've got at this point to control the US election. And their top priority is to get the pump price down.

The quote from the OPEC President in my last post, is about as obvious a hint as you could ask for to tip you off that OPECs key players are being threatened along these lines by the US perhaps with the support of some of the other G-7 nations.

Can only hope a good apolitical or conservative investigative reporter team follows the crumbs along this trail to flesh out the full story before the election. Would love to watch Gore and Slick deny it on TV, lol. Would really be a hoot, lol.
