I don't "need" to believe in anything. I am very happy being an agnostic. It isn't in the least bit sad. Although I can certainly understand why someone else might think it was sad. Just as I feel it is sad to be limited by belief. But that is just a feeling- rationally I know we are all limited, by our education, by all our beliefs, by the circumstances in our lives.

So although I feel it would be sad if you were limited by belief, intellectually I try to realize that we are both seeing the world in unique and personal ways. Your way may make you just as happy and fulfilled as my way- however hard that is for me to believe.
