"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity"
~Albert Einstein
Where Einstein could have been more correct , is that Buddhism is not in it's essence a "religion". But a practical way of living more fully in the present, in harmony with both the elements and spirit.
... At the heart of every great religion , one surely finds the practice of meditation, the seeking of right understanding right thinking right speech right conduct right livelihood right effort right mindfulness right concentration ....
One can be a Jew , Christian , Moslem or any other follower of a Prophet and religious set of beliefs...and also, without conflict be a Buddhist.
