Excerpt of Landis interview on CMTN
DSL, for example, is the reason that Analog Devices (ADI:NYSE - news) blew their number out. Even as their handset sales were weak, they were so strong in the DSL market that they crushed the number. We own GlobeSpan (GSPN:Nasdaq - news). They're back in New Jersey, but a great company.
TSC: People in New Jersey are going to love the "but" in that sentence.
Kevin Landis: Well, uh ... they're sort of a Bell Labs spinoff, so that's the place to be for that. There's a Bay Area company that's trying to be a DSL chip star, and that's Centillium (CTLM:Nasdaq - news). We don't own that, we own GlobeSpan; you can play the equipment side of it. I know Lucent (LU:NYSE - news) and Cisco are targeting that, but there are other companies in play, such as Copper Mountain. You could put Rhythms and Covad (COVD:Nasdaq - news) in there

Landis' five-year return is, quite simply, the best in the business, with his Value fund ranking No. 1 on Morningstar.
