So you believe that Samsung has achieved zero defect manufacturing?

I expect them to very quickly approach the same SDRAM yields which are very close to 100%.

IMO, this is the main reason why RDRAM prices have continued to come down. Overall yields and PC800 bin split yields, are way up.

This is from the recent Platform 2000 conference where Samsung presented:

Pay attention to page 18 slide 2 that shows June 2000 (we are in September now so yields are between June and Dec projection) yields of RDRAM at 90% with 60% bin splits to PC800, rising to overall yields by December to 98% with 75-80% PC800 bin splits. This is all for year 2000. I like my price projections that I made in a previous message more and more. IMHO of course.
