I had a Trooper also which got about the same mileage. It didn't seem to matter if it was city or highway driving? I traded it in for a Landcruiser with 330 Lbs of torque, and a lot more weight, and I get better mileage in the Landcruiser. I think the old Troppers were a lot better than the newer ones.
