I concur completely with you, Jim. One of the links that Gus provided isn't just "closer and closer" to being anti-semitic, it is. Those who talk about "Jewish interests" as being monolithic, or as furthering some "Jewish" agenda, are absurd and offensive. Especially when speaking about businessmen who happen to be Jewish. "Get 10 Jews in a room, and you get 30 opinions" may be something of a cliche, but there is a great deal of truth in it. There are even a lot of Jewish people--both inside and outside Israel--who are supportive of a Palestinean state, as long as that state can live peacefully side-by-side with Israel, even though unhappily there are plenty of Jewish extremists as well who you just incite and feed with the anti-Semitic junk. A Martin Luther King/Gandhi type of non-violent campaign in Israel would lead to the establishment of a Palestinean state in a matter of 3 or 4 years, if it was disciplined enough. With, I believe, a part of Jerusalem as its capital, though that would probably take longer, as it would take longer for trust to build enough for that step.
Cut the crap, please, Gus. It doesn't belong here (or anywhere else, for that matter). Sam |
