CMTN: If Copper Mountain Doubled its Addressable Market, Would Anyone Notice?
Tim Savageaux discusses Copper Mountain's unveiling of a flood of new product and interoperability initiatives at last week's DSLcon '00 Conference. Last week, Copper Mountain introduced the CE200 RT, a product that addresses the approximately 35% of customers that cannot be served directly from central office based DSLAMs. We believe both the remote terminal DSLAM opportunity and the packet voice market have yet to be factored into the Company's share price; in our view, the main reason for the stock being more than 65% off its high in July is due to persistent concerns surrounding the Company's data-CLEC customer base, which we feel are overdone.
