The important thing to watch is the price of PDP. As outlined in the merger agreement PDP holders will get a 1 for 1 conversion while MXP holders will get a 1 for 7 conversion. So it really doesn't matter what the price of MXP is unless you are going to sell prior to the merger. The price of the new company will basically be set by PDP. I am very positive on the new company and believe that in the long run it will prosper.
