Conseco Capital Management, Inc. (CCM) announced today that Christopher L. Fetes, CFA, has rejoined the firm as an assistant vice president and senior securities analyst following a three-year hiatus at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PWC). He will specialize in the retail and food/beverage sectors, reporting to William Lissenden, vice president and director of research. Fetes previously worked at CCM from 1996 to 1997 as a securities analyst responsible for research supporting investment-grade and high-yield investments in restaurant, beverage and specialty apparel companies. He also managed $66 million in high-yield investments held within these sectors. While at PWC, Fetes was a principal consultant in the firm's Global Business Advisory Services practice, providing business valuation supporting mergers, acquisitions, retail product design and strategic planning for investment management clients. He began his career with the securities lending group at The Northern Trust Company where he analyzed lending opportunities in emerging economies and launched a night-trading program. "Chris is a very sharp retail analyst and well-versed in CCM's proprietary bottom-up research and total return-driven investment process," said Lissenden. "He will provide our portfolio management teams with valuable product insights and comprehensive financial data that will enable them to make astute investment decisions on companies operating in these sectors." Fetes was graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in business administration (finance). In 1996, Fetes earned a master's degree in business administration (finance) from Indiana University where he also served as a graduate assistant and was a member of the Investment Management Academy.
