niceguy767,

During 1998 and 1999 AMD just about achieved "survival velocity". They did a great job as many of you know.

These days several companies, AMD included, have to post incredibly good results just to keep the stock at par. It's a time of consolidation in this latter day bull market. This market condition has to be tested before we see any further move up IMHO. One or two "breakout" stocks might do the trick, but it will take more then a typical good performance and even more patience.

One thing to keep an eye on is any over-hype and a big run up into earnings. Then it might be an idea to take a little off the table in case there is selling into the earnings report ..no matter how good it might be. That way a full return can be sought from a potential good performance from AMD... this is just my view once again.

On the other hand I won't be selling at a loss on any on any market "the sky is falling" news either.

I think AMD should do well before XMAS this year. In the longer outlook.. it's prospects look good to me.

regards,

pearly.
