See: specbench.org SPEC has published NTAP's new SFS benchmark numbers, they are in a word: "amazing"! This certainly shows them to be the NAS price/performance leader, never mind the technology leader. The numbers are at least twice as good as the competition with, in some cases, 1/2 the hardware. Also, they are benchmarking with RAID "on", which none of the other competition does to my knowledge. I have to believe that once the 840 series ramps into full production as the 700 series transitions to the 800, revenues are going to be significantly affected from upgrades and new penetration into multi-terabyte shops.
