Starfield Resources Inc. - New Palladium-Platinum-Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Discovery At Ferguson Lake, Nunavut "M" Zone
19:24 GMT-04:00 Monday, September 25, 2000

Starfield Resources Inc. is pleased to report that a significant new sulphide zone has been discovered at the Ferguson Lake project by drilling a major geophysical anomaly partially defined earlier and reported on August 9th, 2000. Assays for the first two holes in the new "M" zone have been received and are presented in the accompanying table. Hole FL00-39 exited a dyke near the indicated base of the flat-lying target and intersected a total of 1.0 meter of massive sulphides. Hole FL00-40 was drilled from the same setup as FL00-39 but at a different inclination so as to avoid the dyke and intersected 23.32 meters of sulphide mineralization.

The M Zone UTEM geophysical anomaly has now been traced for a length of 2000 meters with widths up to 400 meters. The zone is still open along strike to the east. The M Zone is significant because it represents a new discovery of massive sulphides with no surface expression. Additional geophysical survey work, including down-hole electromagnetic probing, and further diamond drill tests are underway at the M Zone.

Assays for diamond drill holes on the West Zone will be released when compiled. Drilling will continue until late November, 2000 utilizing two diamond drills on the West Zone extension.
