As of last Friday, Tencor became a small cap stock.

Tencor Capitalization was at 599 million because of the drop in stock price last Friday. By the definition of small cap stock, the capitalization is less than 600 million. All of a sudden, Tencor dropped out as being a mid-cap stock.

A lot of fund managers have strict restriction in what they buy or hold. If the fund's criteria is to invest in mid to large cap stock, most likely, they will probably consider getting rid of those stock that became small cap stocks. That might be the reason that trigger the sell off today on TNCR. <This is just my opinion>.

I simply don't understand about the drop in price today while other Hi-tech stocks are up. I tried to find out by calling TNCR's Investor Relation's person (Roberta Emerson (408)970-9500). However, she's out of the office today. I'm sure a lot of other investors have already left a lot of messages with her demanding an answer.

If anybody heard anything from her, please post a note here at SI.

Thanks.
