well, this discussion really is on topic on a computer learning thread. i'm very pleased that no one is losing their temper, i'll say that. <g>

but we often discuss cookies and spyware and such, and we all like to know when there is free shipping, say, at buy.com. so amazon and their info gathering techniques and their pricing policies all seem to fit in here as well as any place else.

if someone were to ask me, i'd say the posts are informative and we all may learn a thing or two.
