Actually, Hyundai is not suing on JEDEC grounds. That was initially widely reported, then denied by Hyundai. Hyundai is suing [in the US] on prior art:

The Hyundai suit takes a different tack than the Micron case, claiming Rambus' synchronous-DRAM patents are invalid due to prior art andthe invention of synchronous timing technology for memory chips. A Hyundai spokesman said the Korean company is not raising the antitrust issue that is the key focus of the Micron suit.
