that's why Fed govt needs to oversee such delicate matters in some cases, like Medicare and Social security. You're kidding, right?? The Federal Govt is more responsive to the needs of minorities than state based governments are?? You think federal bureaucrats don't dole out money to important swing states for one political party or another, to the disadvantage of other states??? Well, let me put it this way... Most people can afford to travel to their local state capital and protest.... Few people can afford to travel to DC... Now which one will be more responsive?
