that's the view from the back deck at the lakehouse on Lake Travis. You can only capture less than 1/2 of it with a camera. On the outside of a big bend so an equally stunning view can be had by looking a bit to the left of that one. You can see about 5 miles up the lake the other direction too. THe only drawback to the place is that it's 219+ stairs to the water/dock/boat. Even a bag of pretzels gets heavy on the journey back up. THe good thing is that friends can drink themselves silly on the lake and rest assured they will be completely sober by the time they finish the climb<gg>. THe clouds that evening were really unique. I've seen some of the coolest stuff out there. The space shuttle, meteor showers, millions of stars on clear nights. Flocks of birds in migration. Herds of butterflies in migration.
