ALSC jumps on Q2 guidance
--9:45 am - By Michael Baron
Alliance Semiconductor (ALSC: news, msgs) is advancing $1.06, or 5.3 percent, to $21.19. After Monday's closing bell, the Santa Clara, Calif., semiconductor firm said second-quarter earnings will come in between 19-and-21 cents a share, above its previous guidance. Alliance forecast of $60 million to $62 million for the period. The company attributed the improved performance to strong bookings and higher average selling prices for its SRAM and DRAM prices.
