Owl, that is my point, there is no case of "Fraud and deceit", at least relative to the European patents, if the European Application was filed before Rambus joined Jedec and relied for a priority date on the 1990 application. The fraud and deceit argument works in favor of Rambus in that Jedec's members were trying to get their hands on Rambus IP for nothing. Believe me, I run into organizations trying to steal my own IP all the time, it is not pretty. My own solution has always been to disclose in the application only the minimum necessary for a "person trained in the art" to practice the art, but it turns out more often or not that they are not particularly well trained "in the art" (G).
