Remember that any Rhapsody app on Intel will need a recompile. Therefore, the situation would be similar to NT, as it is available for several processors but that number is now down to 2 - x86 / Alpha (with x86 taking up the large majority of sales). Slow sales led to the drop of MIPS and PPC as platforms. lack of shrink wrap software in the volume that it is available for x86 also is limiting Alpha sales of NT (I believe they are as low as 6-8% - but that is from memory).

My guess is that Rhapsody on Intel would probably have the same overall Rhapsody market share, and as such will probably not increase Apple's overall market share on its own.
