Aqua. Today's BRCM might also be tommorow's BRCM as well. To better analyze BRCM, compare the market penetration of BRCM products (aimed squarely at the consumer) with similar market penetration of INTC. I think all would agree that INTC's penetration of the market has gone exceedingly well and yet they have probably only penetrated, at best, (this is a guess) 30-40% of the PC market (perhaps more if you consider INTEL clone chips). Now consider where BRCM is at today and where it might be tommorow.

Brcm Today:
Nascent supplier of chips for set top boxes and all-in-one high speed communication devices. DSP chip design house.
Primarily used in corp. America and homes of Silicon Valley elite (or their parents if they use WebTV).

BRCM tommorow:
Leading supplier of chips that deliver unified digital streaming data to each and every house. Their technology will route audio, visual, security, and database information to households using interactive wireless control systems. Eventually, high speed and low-cost chips will be the technology to supplant higher powered computer purchases. People will open their garage door, lock their front door, toast their toast, warm their house etc. using some form of BRCM chips. The low cost and added value for these chips will make them a must in low end and high end houses. They may even save money over time....
