I hope someone can help me...this is a pain in the ***!

I am using Netscape version 4.75 and use it for email as well. When I click on email and get the email window open all is fine. However, if I click respond or new message, I don't get a window, but instead it is placed on the task bar. If I click on it, nothing happens. If I right click and go to maximize, it opens but takes up the entire screen. I cannot shrink it and if I click on the full window/small window button in the middle of the minimize and close button in the upper right, it goes back to the taskbar. I cannot get it to be a small window any longer.....what the heck happened and more importantly, any idea how I can fix it?
