Re: Java 'standards committee'. --- Divit - I know you're really trying. You just keep swinging wide of the mark. --- Sun pulled Java off of the 'standards committee' table for one reason. It's the same reason they were reluctant to go that route in the first place; MS. --- MS has a single agenda to do with Java and that's to damage it. The antitrust finding of fact and law brought the gavel down on that. Java will likely go to a 'standards committee' once 'dark forces' stop conspiring against it. --- The people who MATTER to do with Java are now content. The only thing Sun hasn't 'opened up' to do with Java is the brand itself. --- Linux (including Debian) now include the Sun JVM as well as Sun Java tools. --- To make HP happy, Sun has bent the licensing 'brand' fees to better fit HPs thin margins. The only company that has a problem with Java is Microsoft. --- Re: E10000 - You're quoting a JOKE. Sun has made a bazillion dollars off of Starfire, which they bought from SGI for like 75 cents. --- Instead of just mindlessly stringing sentences together, go onto EDGAR or somepplace and check out just how much (% of rev) SUNW spends on innovation. Hope that helps. -JCJ
