No one thinks that Clinton is responsible for the drop in crime. There are several things that contributed: frankly, the stabilization of drug markets, and death or incarceration of many of the most dangerous gang members; the move toward community policing, which was adopted by a number of mayors, largely Republican; the demographic drop in the number of males between the ages of 12 and 40, the most dangerous group, especially between 15 and 30. In fact, a lot of people think that it was the "baby bust" more than anything else, although that is debated..........
