The newest ones have 3.3 megapixels

Make that 6.3 for the Fuji S1 Pro

I see from ads on TV that Sony is covering all memory bases with its digital still cameras. They make cameras using memory cards, 3.5 inch computer disks, hard drives, standard 8 mm magnetic tape, and write to CD's.

8mm tape in a still camera?

The 3.5" floppy seemed like a clever idea once, but clearly is uninteresting as resolutions climb. The CDR I find quite interesting, depending on what the size and power implications turn out to be, because the media are inexpensive and permanent.
