Just goes to show what a great deal we're getting electing Dick Cheney. Just think, he could be making millions working in the private sector running a large company, but instead, he's elected to take a huge pay cut and serve his country. We're fortunate indeed to have a person of such high ethical standards and management expertise running for Vice President.

It's laughable to see Democratic (lifelong) politicians like Al Gore denigrate Dick Cheney's private sector experience in the oil industry, and pretend it's a horrible thing to be extremely knowledgeable about an industry so critical to our national security, and prosperity.

I believe it will be great to see effective management business practices influencing the White House and the Federal government. Especially, when the person influencing them is of such high caliber as Dick Cheney. His expertise in the oil industry make him uniquely qualified to deal with the mess, and lack of leadership Clinton/Gore have left us with. Our dependence on foreign oil has never been greater. And it's the direct cause of environmental wacko Democrats like Al Gore why we're in this mess.

Clinton/Gore's 7 year energy policy can be summed up in one sentence. "Fool the electorate with phony sound bites and release our emergency energy supply just prior to the election under the guise that we care".

The transparent phoniness is as clear as the shock of having mom paying triple the price for dog medicine.
