Neocon--I should also point out that a strong economy, in concert with education and community policing, is perhaps the best of all cure for crime. On the surface, it'd seem there'd be more crime given there's more money around for criminal pickings. Well, not quite. What happens is those who otherwise would have resorted to crime, found jobs instead. What's wrong with that? Anyone here have any problems with our nation's unemployment rate?
