Trouble for WAP on this Side of the Ocean
NEW YORK Sept. 27, 2000 (Newsline) The Italian-American Defamation League has come out against WAP. Danny Marguglio, President of the League, held a press conference today in which he railed against WAP as an ethnic slur. His organization is leading a boycott against all WAP products. He said, "We have fought the use of that derogatory "W" word for decades, and now by a conspiracy of foreign, multi-national companies the word is being used everywhere." "If we have anything to say about it, that protocol is toast, just like GSM," he declared.
When asked whether his organization had anything against Bluetooth or cdma, Marguglio responded, "Nah. See, I even have one of those Qualcomm cdma cell phones. Dr. Irwin Jacobs is a good friend of mine. I know Irwin Jacobs and, you're no Dr. Jacobs." It has been reported that last year Marguglio became a Quillionaire.
