I agree with your market assessment, but disagree with your views about the threats from the so called mid market vendors.

I have never ever ever seen a mid market vendor threaten a high end leader. That would especially be the case given the distribution channels and product architectures from pvtl and onxs.

SEBL hasn't drawn much attention to it, but they have had far more market share in the mid market than a combination of all of the third tier players.

I'd bet sebl's sequential growth is greater than the annual growth the mid market remnants generate.
