David,

the primary factor determining server load with any kind of client/server application is the number of users per server and the processing load they place on it. Since bandwidth requirements of qcharts are very small for an average workspace configuration (a few hundred bytes per second) and does not even come remotely close to the bandwidth capacity of a 56K connection the choice of network access medium (DSL, cable, T1, 56K modem) does not have any impact on on the amount of data a server has to send out to a user per second and thus on server load. The only way in which DSL or cable users could increase server load is if they decide to take advantage of the added bandwidth e.g. by running monster workspaces with 3000 symbols.
