Pete. <What you do not appreciate is the wide ranging applications of LDT> I might have a much better appreciation of LDT than you do. The real strength of LDT is that it provides a scalable solution for AMD's future high-end platforms. Chipset components can then be designed around LDT and reused from one chipset to the next with a minimum of redesign and validation effort. For example, AMD can take their 2-way SMP north bridge, which has been already designed and validated, and chain them together into an 8-way SMP platform without too much effort. This is a lot easier than designing an 8-way platform from scratch. But of course, I'm sure you already mentioned that somewhere in your technobabble. Tenchusatsu
