[Total solutions] <<<I've read several posts on the Westell thread which quote the Westell CEO (Seaman ?) saying that only Westell has equipment in use from a "total systems solution"...and Amati has only the modems.>>> There are others who can answer this more specifically, but as far as Westell goes, they have no technology of their own. If you examine their equipment, you'll see it's put together with off-the-shelf components. Amati has their own patented technology, both stand-alone modems and the Allegro concentrator. I know when the time comes to offer a "total solution" they'll have it through their partnerships --- and, eventually, on their own. If I were Seamans, I'd want to find a way to distinguish myself, especially with some of these networking giants salivating over my ADSL market. Every time I see another ADSL offering, I give a thumbs-up. Bring on the competition! It just makes the leaders work that much harder to stay ahead. Cheers! Pat
