Sd,

I have set up and understand the foll:

1. Family limited partnership - good for legal protection.
2. trusts - good for passing on estate.
3. Insurance - to pay off taxes in case both parents die.

But now a days I have seen 'experts' claim that you can save (not defer) taxes on.....

1. sale of appreciated real estate
2. sale of appreciated stocks.

Do you have any knowledge of these?
