Last time this year that the Put/Call ratio spiked, May 19, the major indices still had a bit more selling to undergo.

Wonder whether distance to options expiration (compared to previous year highs--May 19 WAS an expiration day, April 14 was just a few days before), other cautionary factors noted by TSCM (stock-specific super-spikes) figure in to calculations. Maybe we need to make a year high in P vs. C for a real bottom--like last October--unless you're a superbear like Mr. Mike, in which case you might want a five-year high...
