Why does any government agency admit they were wrong and fess up? The same reason Slick Willy did: They obviously got caught by someone.

I'll bet everyone here a dollar that the ".1 to .3" percent change will be applied in a different amount to each month- and those changes will be EXACTLY what was required to have the CPI beat or meet wall street's expectations and save the markets.

You'd think if it was a software error, it would be the same for every month. But I can guarantee you it wasnt!
