Joe, I've been in Amati for a little over a year and am still
down. I'm beginning to think that maybe I should split my
investment and put some into Westell. I guess my thing is
that all along I believed that Amati had the patent, but
all I see is the service providers going with Westell,
patent or no patent, ANSI standard or no standard. It seems
that the contracts are going to Westell and Alcatel. Meanwhile
the chip licensing is going to Aware. So right now, I've
got Amati and Pairgain. Perhaps I should add a position to
Westell. Even if it takes time for NYNEX to pull it off,
I'm afraid Amati isn't even on the dancecard!

Investing in xDSL nowadays is like investing in networking
in the early 90s when you just bought Cisco, Bay, 3Com and
didn't care. Right now I have Amati, Pairgain and Analog
Devices. Perhaps I should add Westell???
