Yes, the fact that other trackers like SPY and DIA don't have options really surprises me, given that QQQ options must have been a great success. Any idea why?

You are correct regarding the diversity of QQQ. I keep telling myself that. There is more to the index than tech. But as much as I like following it, it does get a little scary seeing so much of my holdings in Q. On the other hand, I fooled around with some other sectors early this summer to balance Q, but got burned. So maybe my lesson there is to stay with what works - until it stops working! Or, to put it another way don't fix it if it ain't broke.
