Dan3
are all coming out with chipsets that only use DDR

First of all they are not coming out with chipsets that only use DDR. Thos same chipsets also use regular SDRAM (and I bet 99% of them ship with SDRAM).

And secondly, that's the problem Dan3. They are still coming. Nothing has arrived. Cause no standard exists. Different DIMMs don't work with different mobos don't work with different chipsets. It's a mess.

This from a pro-DDR source so you know things must be really bad.

"One of the most troubling reports, which was provided by an anonymous member of Team-DDR, is that Micron is seeing incompatibilities between modules and chipsets."

"For several months, sources within Micron have been optimistically claiming that DDR would be shipping in volume before the end of Q3, and most certainly by the beginning of Q4. Right now, it looks questionable whether we will see real volume before the end of Q4."
