Objectively, why would China want to be an island in the wireless world? EU is not going to deploy Chinese tech, and if it is 3 years out minimum then US won't be interested either, and Japan is not interested...and there is money to be made NOW by supplying CDMA gear, so the LAS thing is mostly a bargaining chip, not a silicon chip, IMO.
