We must be on different planets. I thought about this throughout the afternoon and still don't really have an answer. I have to admit I don't understnd why you are a Bush supporter (actually I don't know you well enough so I will speak in generalities).
Bush is a lot less intelligent that Gore to begin with. Next he doesn't seem to have a core philosophy, only an ambition to be someone important. He wants the title, and he's willing to let any scoundrel run the country. I ask myself why someone in general, who probably does not have an office or special interest to gain, would support such an obvious front man for those who would fleece the American public.
All I can can guess is that you (the generic you) started with a pre-concieved notion that you don't want Clinton in office, and faced with the fact that you can't vote against him, just thrust your loyaly blindly into whoever seemed to be not Clinton. What a stupid way to make up your mind! I really cannot conceive of another scenario that makes people demonize the Vice President, calling him a liar, calling him a traitor, in order to try and rationalize their pre-conceived notion to take anyone that the Republicans put forth. I am truly amazed. Different Planets? Sure, we must be, I hope so. TP |
