Perhaps they needed sale to finance Exuberantly Expensive Sydney Olympics? :)> I've heard some say it is related to socialized healthcare costs >> If only it were that simple - everytime they need more money for health they just add a couple of percent extra onto the compulsory "medicare levy" - just a straight forward extra increase in income tax....
