Flapjack

It really is hard to argue against that paragraph. It is also easy to say you are undertaxed when you are worth a few billion. He can pay millions in taxes and still have more money than he could spend. Most of us fall in the middle between welfare and Buffett, and taxes are a lot harder to cough up.

I would not mind paying taxes if i felt the money was well spent, but too much is wasted between the taxpayer and the recipient. The politicians treat our taxes as "free money", and many of the recipients i come in contact with seem to feel the same. When you earn your own income, you tend to appreciate it and be a lot more careful how you spend it. Ever notice people at a buffet? It is not how hungry they are, but more how much can they pile on their plate(i am just as guilty as the rest).

I would not mind paying more taxes if i thought the money was well spent. Although i now make a very comfortable living, i spent most of my life counting every dime, and it burns my @$$ when i see a welfare recipient in a delivery room giving birth to her nth child, and the "significant other" is shooting videos with a camera i would think long and hard about buying, then would pass because it was too much money.
