edamo: Glad to see you on the Porch!

I've been a lurker on SI until fairly recently. I have to credit your posts on the DELL thread a couple of years ago of peaking my interest in selling naked puts.

I do it a little differently than you, I tend to sell front month puts below support. And, I use my margin balance as collateral rather than cash, but I like the way put selling works. Cash in rather than cash out to start a trade.

One technique I'm going to start to consider is selling DIM front month puts. The risk profile is the same as buying calls. Have to use stops to protect yourself. But, the beauty is, rather than having to outlay cash to start the trade, you receive cash.

Any thoughts?
